Princeton

The town on Princeton is situated in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in the Similkameen Region. Princeton is a leisurely kind of place, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. There isn’t a traffic light or parking metre within one hundred kilometres. Time slows down; there are lots of open places, trails, and waterways to take you away.

Nature is pretty much unchanged here. Nearly every type of outdoor recreation can be enjoyed where the only sounds are the streams, the wind in the trees or the cry of an eagle.

Play: Princeton’s rivers, lakes and streams offer some of the finest kayaking and canoeing, accompanied by spectacular scenery. Kayakers, canoeists and tubers find the right challenge on the Similkameen River. There are many public and private campsites and RV parks including the Princeton Municipal RV Park and Campsite, Princeton Golf Club & RV Park, Manning Park Resort, Princeton Castle Resort and Apex Mountain Resort offer year-round recreation.

Culture:  Princeton is alive with a rich variety of arts and culture activities, programs and events throughout the year. Each season experience theatre, dance, music, public art projects, programs and events with the Princeton Recreation, Tourism and Cultural Department, Princeton Community Arts Council and local professional artists.
