Fernie Christmas Celebrations

Get into the Holiday spirit with a visit to the ‘Tis The Season Fernie Craft Fair on Saturday, December 15th at the Fernie Community Centre. Make sure to pick up some unique gifts and stocking stuffers this year for all your loved ones. This holiday season would not be complete without a Christmas concert. The O’Pears, a Toronto-based contemporary folk trio, will perform Monday, December 17th at the Arts Station. Or visit the Fernie Heritage Library and meet other families in the community on Saturday, December 22nd for A Dicken’s Christmas. Celebrate with games, cider, stories, carols and more.

Fernie Alpine Resort has so much more to offer this holiday season besides excellent ski runs! They have several planned events scheduled for the entire family to enjoy. Be sure to book your Holiday Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride and sing Jingle Bells merrily with the whole family or a group of friends. Sleigh rides depart daily from Friday, December 21st to Sunday, January 6th. Cost $15 per person or Private Evening Rides are $165 (up to 11 guests). Check off your children’s Christmas wish list with Ski with Santa on the Slopes Sunday, December 23rd and Monday, December 24th from 10am to 12pm. Ski with Santa and follow up with a picture with him at the base from 12pm to 2pm. And finally, wrap up 2018 at Fernie Alpine Resort on Monday, December 31st for New Year’s Eve with a Night ski on the Mighty Moose, family activities and fireworks. –Charity Robertson
